Attempt errors
The twelve error families, what each one is actually telling you, and the short list of failures where pressing retry is worth anything at all.
Every failed attempt on /attempts carries a coloured pill in the Error column. Hover it for the full text.

Every error says three things
Not one. Three, and the third is the one people skip:
- What it is — the title on the pill.
- What happened — one sentence of fact.
- What to do about it — the suggestion, when there is one.
An error with no suggestion is deliberate: it means there is nothing useful for you to do. Already Sold has no suggestion because another buyer got there first, and no action of yours changes that.
The pill's colour is its severity: amber for transient trouble, red for something that needs your attention, the darkest shade for account-level problems, and grey for the one purely informational case — a purchase you cancelled yourself.
Worth knowing before you read too much into it: a lost race is painted red. Already Sold and Concurrent Purchase are the two most common pills on a busy filter and neither means anything is wrong with your setup.
The twelve families, and the eleven you can filter for
| Family | What it covers | Whose problem |
|---|---|---|
| Availability | Sold, removed, locked by another checkout, details changed mid-checkout | The race |
| Payment | Card declined, expired, blocked, 3-D Secure not completed | Yours or your bank's |
| Shipping | No address, no relay point, phone required, card required | Your account setup |
| Fraud | Vinted flagged the transaction as suspicious | Vinted's judgement |
| Captcha | An anti-bot check blocked the request | Vinted's protection |
| Rate limit | Too many requests too quickly | Handled automatically |
| Access | Account banned, restricted, or denied on this item | The account |
| Auth | The Vinted session expired or was rejected | Reconnect the account |
| Network | Timeouts, connection failures, Vinted 5xx | Transient |
| Internal | A failure on our side | Ours |
| External | A Vinted error we do not have a specific reading for | Vinted's |
| Account | No eligible buying account, before anything was ordered | Your configuration |
The Error type filter offers the first eleven. Account is not in the list — those failures happen before a purchase is attempted, and the only way to gather them today is the search box. Their titles all begin with No…, Account… or Originating…, which is enough to find them.
Losing the race
Availability is not really an error family. It is the normal outcome of competing for an item, and on a busy filter it will be your most common one.
| What you see | What actually happened |
|---|---|
| Already Sold | Another buyer completed payment first |
| Concurrent Purchase | Somebody's checkout is holding the item right now |
| Item Removed | The listing was deleted or is no longer on Vinted |
| Price Changed | The item's details changed while the checkout was open |
Losing races is not a defect. If you want fewer of them, the answers are on Cop Faster — and none of them is on this page.
Payment
The most demoralising family, because you had already won.
- Payment Blocked — Vinted's anti-fraud refused the charge. You were first; the item went back on sale anyway. Try a different account, or wait before retrying with the same one.
- Card Declined — your bank said no. Check the card details, or try a different card. Retrying as-is is worth more here than the name suggests: this is the one payment failure that regularly succeeds on a second run.
- Card Expired — Vinted rejected the card as expired. Add a new one to the buying account first. See Payment cards.
- Payment Rejected — Vinted refused and did not say why. Another card or another account.
- Payment Error — the payment could not be processed. Verify the payment method and try again.
- 3D Secure Not Confirmed / 3D Secure Interrupted — the bank verification did not finish in time, or the page stopped waiting before the bank answered. Check your Vinted orders before retrying: in rare cases the payment goes through after we stopped waiting.
- Payment Locked / Payment Already Processing — a payment on that item is already in flight. Same advice: look at your Vinted orders first.
- Order Cancelled — Vinted cancelled the order before the payment went through. The item is back on sale; try again if you still want it.
- Transaction Not Found — Vinted no longer knows about the transaction. Check your Vinted orders, then try again.
Shipping is an account-setup problem
Nearly every entry here is fixable once, permanently, in the account's settings:
| What you see | The fix |
|---|---|
| No Delivery Address | Add an address to the buying account |
| Card Required | Add a card to the buying account |
| Phone Required | Add a verified phone number on Vinted |
| Pickup Point Missing | Check the account's address and shipping preferences |
| No Compatible Relay Point | Your delivery preferences excluded every point Vinted offered — re-enable a carrier, or switch from priority to nearest |
| No Relay Points | Vinted serves no relay point around that address at all |
| Home Delivery Unavailable | The seller does not offer it — switch that account to relay points or soft mode |
| Address Not Accepted | Vinted saved the address but did not adopt it. Check the street, postal code and city agree, then re-enter it |
| Pickup Point Unavailable | Every point tried was refused — locker full, route incompatible, or the point is offline. Usually temporary |
| Shipping Setup Failed | The shipping configuration could not be completed. Check the account address and retry |
| Relay Point Lookup Failed | Vinted did not answer the lookup. Transient on their side; the next purchase re-runs it |
The last two are the exceptions to the heading: they are Vinted not answering, not you being misconfigured.
Address and shipping covers the rest properly.
When Vinted pushes back
Captcha, Rate Limit, Access and Fraud are Vinted reacting to an account rather than to a purchase.
These are the ones that put an account into quarantine, and quarantine is the right answer — it rests the account so the signal does not escalate into a ban. The one thing not to do is switch quarantine off because the errors annoy you.
Account Banned is the exception with no recovery: that account is gone. Remove it and add a different one.
When no account could buy at all
The twelfth family, and it fires before any purchase is attempted — so nothing was ordered and nothing was charged:
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| No Compatible Account | No assigned account matches the item's country zone |
| No Assigned Accounts | No buying account is assigned to the filter's owner |
| No Account in Group | The filter's folder is bound to an account group with no eligible account in it |
| No Account in Manual Buy Group | Same, for a manual buy: the folder binding or your own manual-buy pool left nothing eligible |
| No Account in Pre-order Group | Same, for a pre-order |
| Originating Account Unavailable | The account that negotiated the offer is no longer available. Reconnect it, or resend from another |
| Account Over Quota | That account is beyond your plan's paid capacity |
| Account Momentarily Closed | It is briefly closed while being updated — retry in a few seconds |
| Account Pool Unavailable | The server had not finished loading. Retry in a few seconds |
| Rotator Offline | Ours, not yours. Tell us |
The first six are configuration, and they will keep happening on every match until you fix them. See Autocop.
Ours and Vinted's
Internal is a failure in Kops. Network is a timeout or a connection problem. External is a Vinted error we do not have a specific reading for.
None of the three is something you can configure your way out of. Network and External failures are usually worth one retry; Internal ones are worth telling us about.
Which errors are worth retrying
Short list, and it matters more than it looks. Every error in the catalogue carries its own answer to this question, recorded next to the error itself; what follows is that answer for the ones you will actually meet, not our opinion of it.
Worth retrying as-is: transient network failures, Vinted 5xx, Card Declined, Payment Error, Payment Locked, Order Cancelled, Concurrent Purchase, Shipping Setup Failed, Relay Point Lookup Failed, Account Momentarily Closed, Account Pool Unavailable.
Worth retrying with a different account: Payment Blocked, Payment Rejected, Access Denied, Blocked at Checkout, Account Banned, and every entry in the family above — a different account is precisely what those are asking for.
Fix something first: the rest of the Shipping family, Card Expired, Session Expired, Invalid Token, Missing Address.
Not worth retrying: Already Sold, Item Removed, Price Changed, 3D Secure Not Confirmed, 3D Secure Interrupted, Payment Already Processing. The item is gone, or the money may already have moved. Retrying does not win it back — it opens a fresh transaction and a fresh conversation with the seller for an item you are not going to get, and both of those stay on the account afterwards.
Concurrent Purchase changing sides is the one that surprises people. A held item is not a sold one: the checkout holding it can fail, and it often does.
The interface does not enforce any of this. The retry button is offered on every failed attempt, including the ones above where it cannot help — the judgement is yours. What the catalogue does drive is the account picker: when the error says another account is the answer, a failed buy opens the picker instead of dropping a toast, so the next thing you press is already the right one.
