Troubleshooting

7 min read

Start from the symptom. Nothing in the feed, nothing buying, races lost, an account that will not stay connected, a notification that never arrives, a team you cannot invite — each with the checks in the order that resolves them fastest.

Find your symptom. Each list is ordered by how often the check is the answer, so work down it rather than across it.

Nothing appears in my feed

  1. Do you have an active filter? The feed says No active filters when you have none — that is a different message from Waiting for products.
  2. Is the filter too narrow? A filter with a brand, a size, a colour and a price cap may genuinely match nothing for days. Widen one criterion at a time.
  3. Is the filter in a paused folder? Pausing a folder pauses every filter in it. See Folders and sharing.
  4. Have you blocked the sellers? Blocked sellers set to Hide completely never reach the feed. See Privacy and blocked sellers.
  5. Are you in the right workspace? Filters do not cross between them. See Workspaces.

My filter matches but never buys

Six checks, in this order. This is the list from Autocop and it resolves nearly all of these.

  1. The global autocop button on the Feed is off.
  2. The filter's own autocop toggle is off, or the filter itself is disabled.
  3. The filter has no ceiling, or the ceiling is below the items' prices — see Automatic acquisition.
  4. No account of yours is in the seller's zone — see Zones and sellers.
  5. Your accounts are not ready — a missing card, address or shipping preference makes an account skipped silently. See Account states.
  6. The folder is bound to an account group with no eligible account in it.

If all six pass, look at Attempts: if attempts exist and fail, you have an error to read; if there are no attempts at all, the purchase never started.

I keep losing races

You are competing, and losing some is normal. What changes the ratio, in order of effect:

  1. More independent accounts. The single biggest lever, and it is not close.
  2. Zone coverage matching what your filters watch.
  3. Filter precision — a filter that fires on everything wastes its attempts on items you did not want.
  4. The pickup step — an account that has never used a carrier pays a detour on its first purchase through it. See Address and shipping.
  5. The card — a card being fraud-blocked loses after you have already won.

Cop Faster is the full version of this list, in the same order.

Check the Speed level on a lost attempt: Delivery not pre-filled means the detour cost you that race.

A purchase failed after I won

Open the attempt and read the error. The three common families:

  • Payment blocked — Vinted's anti-fraud refused the charge. Different account, or wait.
  • Card declined / expired — fix the card on that account.
  • 3-D Secure not confirmed — check your Vinted orders before retrying. In rare cases the payment went through anyway.

Full list: Attempt errors.

An account keeps going Inactive

Inactive always carries a reason, readable in the account detail. The most common cause by far is an account added with an access token and no refresh token — it works until the token expires, then dies for good.

Add the account with the login method, or with both tokens. See Adding a Vinted account.

Account banned is the one with no fix. That account is gone; remove it and add another.

An account is Quarantined

That is Kops resting it after Vinted pushed back, and it comes back on its own:

SignalCooldown
Rate limit1 hour
Anti-bot block2 hours
Fraud detection24 hours
Blocked at checkout24 hours

You can Release it early, and you probably should not. See Account states.

If one account quarantines repeatedly, the cause is usually the card or the account's own history — not the quarantine setting. Turning quarantine off removes the warning, not the problem.

Notifications never arrive

Three switches, and all three have to be on:

  1. The notification type — Settings → Notifications.
  2. This device — push belongs to one browser or phone, not to your account.
  3. The filter's own Notifications toggle.

On iPhone there is a fourth: the app has to be installed to the Home Screen before iOS will deliver push at all. See Notifications.

I cannot use a feature

Read which message you are getting — they mean different things:

This feature requires the {plan} planBilling. The button goes to the upgrade
Permission requiredYour role, not your plan. Ask an admin
Subscription pausedRestart it — Pause and cancel
Payment past dueSettle the invoice — Payment problems

On a team, the second one is the one people misdiagnose. See Members and roles.

I am on Pro and still cannot invite anyone

Pro is the plan that can have a team. It does not come with a team member in it.

Each member sits on a seat you buy, one at a time, and the invite button refuses while there is no free one — No Available Seats. The members section shows the count as {used} / {total} seats used.

Buy a seat under Workspace settings → Subscription → Employees, then send the invitation. See Account packs and seats and Plans and limits.

Removing a member frees their seat at once; the seat stays on your bill until you also reduce the count.

A tool failed, or my allowance vanished

Two different things, and the quota bar tells you which.

The bar did not move and the tool showed an error. That is the normal case for a failure that was not yours — a timeout, a busy provider, a full queue. The slot is given back automatically; run it again.

The bar moved and you got nothing. Then the run was rejected on your input — a file too large, a link that was not a Vinted link, an unsupported format. Fix the input; that one costs a run.

The result disappeared when you left the page. It was not lost, but it is unreachable: the job keeps running on our side and the page cannot find its way back to it. Stay on the tool until it says Done!. See Listing tools.

An order stopped updating

Its status is frozen: the account that placed it can no longer talk to Vinted, usually because it was banned or removed. Nothing will update it again.

You can record your own verdict on it so it leaves your live list. See Order statuses.

If that refuses with This account still syncs, the account is not actually gone — wait for the next sync rather than overriding it.

An item shows Sold but I bought it

Check Purchases rather than the feed. The feed's sold badge is set from a 30-second watch after the item appears, and it is about the race — the order is the fact. See Item statuses.

Still stuck

Two things make a support message resolvable in one reply rather than five:

  • the attempt ID or the order, from the detail panel;
  • what the interface actually said, word for word.

The message is more useful than a description of it — most of them name the fix, and Error messages has the ones that are not about a purchase.
